You could catch your own dinner and cook it in your own style at Shrimpz Prawn Farm in Langkawi. There are 10 open-air dining huts with each comes complete with a barbecue pit.
Each of the dining huts at Shrimpz Prawn Farm is named after a place of interest in Langkawi such as Padang Matsirat, Ewa, Gunung Raya, Kuah, Cenang, Beringin, Pantai Kok, Telok Datai, Penara and Ulu Melaka.
And, if you want to relax after catching your dinner, you'd always ask the cook to do the cooking for you.
You can enjoy this unique dining experience in a restaurant located at the edge of the prawn farm. It is fun because you wouldn't know the type of fish or prawn that will be landing on your plate until you catch it.
The RM4 million prawn farm and restaurant is owned by Sumber Nadi Alam (SNA) Sdn Bhd and was open to public in April 2005.
Shrimpz's executive chef, Wong Kok Sing has 25 years’ experience preparing tasty treats such as tom yam, crispy black pepper prawn and ikan tiga rasa.
You'd also join other activities at the farm which include a farm tour, horse-riding and jungle ride. There is also a horse-riding lessons offered at the 114ha farm.
