The first night, we had our dinner at Restoran Haji Ramli located at Pantai Cenang road. The Malay restaurant was
just a few minutes walk from AB Motel. We had Nasi Goreng Daging Merah (Fried Rice with Red Beef),
Nasi Padprik, Mixed Tom Yam and Kerabu Sotong.
It was a really delicious meal, or maybe we thought so because we're so hungry?

I woke up in the morning of the second day at 6.30am. Mosquito bites were all over my hands and legs -- which were exposed during my restless night.
After a quick shower, we walked along the Pantai Cenang road to get our breakfast. Surprised! The Pantai Cenang road was so quiet & empty -- there were no cars at all and we can walk leisurely in the middle of the road without getting hit! Ha..ha..ha..
Zaly @ AB Motel,Pantai Cenang, Langkawi
After breakfast, we packed our stuff and checked-out from the mosquito motel. Sorry AB Motel! Mosquitos
were the only thing that we're complaining about this motel.
Other facilities were good and they also provide great services such as motorbike rental, internet, IDD
& STD calls, island hopping, trip to Thailand and even sell AirAsia flight tickets!

Langkawi Attractions
These were the Langkawi attractions that we managed to visit on our second day in Langkawi.
Our first target that day was to visit the Laman Padi Langkawi. However, it was still very early in the morning and the Laman Padi is only open from 10.00am.
So, we decided to drove along Pantai Cenang road, towards Pantai Tengah and Tanjung Malai road. We stopped near the jetty which is the point where boat trips for island hopping start. I saw a few tourists waiting for the boat which will take them to various islands around Langkawi main island, such as the famous Dayang Bunting island, Tuba Island and so much more!
Island Hopping Jetty
The island hopping tour depends on the package that you take. Price starts from RM35 to RM99 per person. We certainly didn't have enough time for this activity as it will take 4 hours (half-a-day) each trip. So... we save it to the next Langkawi trip!
Awana Porto Malai, Laman Padi, Cable Car
The Tanjung Malai road brought us to the beautiful Awana Porto Malai resort. We hopped into the resort and took
some photos of the lovely scenes at the Porto Malai jetty. The resort's pool was very nice.
At 10.00am, we drove to Laman Padi. Zaly was confused with the signboard and drove straight to the back of the
Laman Padi. It was there that we discovered a serene view of rice fields -- all green and fresh!
After visited Laman Padi, I noticed the dark clouds in the sky. Please, don't rain!! I silently prayed.
Our next agenda was to have a cable car ride to the top of Mat Cincang mountain and walk on the sky bridge -- so, if it rains, we will have no choice but to cancel it.
Luckily, by the time we reached the Oriental Village, the sun was still shining. The dark clouds were gone. But,
the weather was too hot. Wearing sun-glasses was not enough to shield me from the scorching hot sun. I need a hat,
so I bought one at the one of the shop in the Oriental Village. The price was RM12.90.

Hmmm... maybe you're wondering why I kept mentioning how much things cost throughout my story. Well, I'm an
Accountant, so every cents count! Ha...ha...ha...
Actually, we noted down every cents that we spent during this Langkawi trip so that we can see how much we
actually spent, on items such as transport, accomodation, food and tour. From there, we can see whether the
expenses were under or over the budget.

Zaly bought the tickets to ride the Cable Car. As Malaysian IC card holder, we only paid RM15 per person.
Non-Malaysian need to pay RM25 for adult & RM18 for children. Each gondola can fit 6 person. The cable
car brought us straight to the top of Mat Cincang mountain. The scene was fabulous and Zaly was experiencing
a Hypsiphobia -- the fear of height!
Telaga Tujuh Waterfall, Pantai Kok, Kota Mahsuri
After the joy cable car ride, we drove to the Telaga Tujuh Waterfall. However, we must walk from the car
park to reach the waterfall and Telaga Tujuh. Telaga Tujuh is located about 800 metres from the car park,
and will take about 20 minutes walk up the steep stairs! We were so tired that we stopped at 400 metres,
rested at the waterfall and descended back to the car park!
To wind down from the tiredness, we stopped at the Pantai Kok beach. It was midday and the sun was shining --
so hot! Under the shade of some trees, we had some snacks while enjoying the beautiful beach view. Yes --
Pantai Kok is a clean beach with pure white sand. It was picture perfect!
Not far from Pantai Kok is the Telaga Harbour. There were some shops & restaurants, and yachts anchored at the jetty. The scene was again -- amazing!
After the rest, we went to the Beras Terbakar. We almost missed it because the big yellow signboard was nearly
hidden by the souvenier shops. The path leading to the Burnt Rice site was covered with zink roof and lined by
various souvenier shops. After a quick photo shots, we browsed the shops and bought some batiks!
It was already 2.30pm, so we quickly drove to Kota Mahsuri. The entrance fee was RM5 for Malaysian and RM10 for
non-Malaysian. We visited the Mahsuri Mausoleum, Mahsuri Well, the traditional village houses purportedly belongs
to Mahsuri and some warriors, as well as the Diorama Muzeum. There was a guy drawing potraits of passers by for
RM25. We decided to recorded our visit on a plate sold at RM10 each.
Air Hangat Village, Langkawi Craft Cultural Complex
Then we headed North to the Air Hangat Village. It was drizzling by the time we reach the hot spring village. Nobody
was around except for some cleaners and the souvenier shop keepers.
It was 4.45pm, when we reached the
Langkawi Craft Cultural Complex. This place was huge and full with expensive souveniers!
Well, there were some affordable souveniers but my eyes only caught glimpse of the expensive ones. Ha...ha...ha! Zaly fell in
love with some hand-printed batik shirts. They were lovely and cost a bomb!
Exhausted and hungry, we went to Langkasuka Beach Resort in Pantai Kok and checked into our cosy room! Thank God,
there were hot bath and shower! Our room was not facing the sea (most of it didn't except for a few high-rated ones),
but it was okay because the room is so comfortable. And, there was no mosquitos flying around!
I felt into a deep sleep that night thanks to the cosy bed!
