You can get a delicious meal at late night for a low price here. This restaurant is a typical Malay eatery with an open air concept. Most tables are not covered by a roof.

Bob (the owner) was a chef in international hotels. That's explain why the food are really savory.

This eating place serves buffet-style Malay cuisine from 6pm to 3 am. Hot and spicy curries, scrumptious squid, yummy rendang (beef cubes), pleasant prawns, fried fish, marinated chicken, vegetables and fresh salads.

Taste 'em and you'll love them.

You can also ask the chef to cook nasi goreng (fried rice), mi goreng (fried noodles) or just have some simple soups. The food is really good & strictly no alcohol.

But hey.. why not take a glass of refreshing ice-lemon tea for a replace?

Night Markets

5pm to 8pm

The best place to find plenty of cheap-and-delicous local food, and anything. Yes.. anything at all.

The night market is based on a concept of open-air shopping. Street vendors 'take over' a designated street (closed to traffic) to set-up brightly-lit stalls from the early evening to late at night.

Night markets are held on rotational basis at different places on different nights of the week. Look out for the one held at Padang Matsirat on Sunday night. That's the best.

Exotic local fruits, savory satay, yummy swiss rolls and cakes, mouth-watering banana fritters, fried noodles, red bean soup, soy bean juice, tofufa ......

A posh eatery set deep within the mangroves of Langkawi island on the northwest shores of Malaysia. This restaurant provides a splendid combination of spicy Thai cuisine and jazz music in a mangrove enviroment.

Barn Thai is accessible only by a 450 metre wooden walkway with gazebos and seats along the walkway. The ambience is great and romantic, but the food is just okay and slightly overpriced.
