Langkawi Homestay Program

I read from the news that the Langkawi Homestay Association has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ghung Gheung University and a travel agency in South Korea to bring the university students to Langkawi. The MoU was signed when the association members visited South Korea recently.
A delegation from the university and the travel agency would visit Langkawi soon to have a look at this beautiful mystical island and to view the homestay programme facilities.
There are currently four villages participating in the homestay program - Pulau Tuba, Kampung Wang Tok Rendong, Kampung Sungai Itau and Kampung Bukit Tangga. The villages offer a number of 90 rooms for the homestay program.
If you participate in the homestay program, you'd have the chance to stay with fisherman and farmers of this legendary island, and could see closely their daily routines, Malays' cultures and traditions, and other unique attractions.
