Ferry From Penang To Langkawi

I am trying to figure out the best way to get to Langkawi from Penang. I searched many websites which say by Ferry, but what amazes me is that there are only two ferries going to Langkawi from Penang and that too in the morning hours!

I am reaching Penang in the morning at 10 am. Is there no ferry after 10.30 which can take me to Langkawi??

Sorry to inform that it is true - there are only 2 trips of ferry departing from Penang to Langkawi. And, the schedule is very early in the morning at 8.15am and 8.30am. The duration of a ferry trip from Penang to Langkawi is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.

If you reach Penang by flight and unable to catch the morning ferry, it's better that you take another flight from Penang to Langkawi.
