FERRY ride from PENANG TO langkawi

I along with my family and a group of fifteen persons took the ferry ride from Penang to Langkawi.(15th August 2009)

The ride took almost three hours. It was quite early in the morning at 815 AM. The ride was an intersting one with beautiful sea line all along.

We had one issue. The luggage is stored on the upper deck and when you reach Langkawi, the local porters surround you before you can even identify your luggage. There is mismanagement at the Langkawi Ferry station and one needs to be extra careful in collecting all the luggage amidst mismanagement created by the local porters. We lost one bag on the Ferry and had to wait one full day before we could recover it after a hectic effort. The ground staff is also not well conversant in English and the local guides consider it a waste of time to lodge your complaint.

BUT EVERY TENSION VANISHES WHEN YOU VISIT THE BEAUTIFUL BEACHES OF LANGKAWI.

ANY HOW ITS A MUST VISIT AND I WOULD RECOMMEND FERRY RIDE FOR THE SAME.
I PLAN TO MAKE IT A MUST PART OF MY TOUR ITINERARY TO MALAYSIA EVERY YEAR.
