Eagle Square Langkawi
From the Langkawi Legends Park, we walk about 400 metres to the Eagle Square. It was really hot but the day was so beautiful. Eagles were seen flying above the square!

The Eagle Square is a sprawling 19-acre landmark located to the front left of the new Jetty Mall Complex in Kuah. The imposing 12-metre tall statue of the brown eagle can be clearly seen from the air or from the sea.
Flying With The Eagle @Eagle Square, Langkawi
The eagle statue sits high at the centre of a massive star-shaped (if seen from the air) concrete platform that juts out to the sea. The square comprises the eagle statue, a high-roofed pavilion where events are held and kiosks selling anything from titbits to souvenirs.
I particularly love the view of the sea from the square. It was marvelous!
Sea View @Eagle Square, Langkawi
It was midday when we visited the Eagle Square. So... it was really.. really hot as the the midday heat is reflected from the concrete floor. Perhaps, the best time to visit is during the evening and night when all the heat is gone.
Kuah Jetty, Langkawi
Not far from the square, we can see the Jetty Point Mall which is a double-storey complex serves both a duty-free shopping mall and the entry point by sea to Langkawi.
Jetty Point Mall, Langkawi
We made a brief visit to the ground floor where there were a few small shops selling jewellery, eye-wear, time pieces, cameras, souvenirs, chocolates, apparel and shoes.
