It was 4.45pm, when we reached the Langkawi Craft Complex. This place was huge and full with expensive souveniers! Well, there were some affordable souveniers but my eyes only caught glimpse of the expensive ones. Ha...ha...ha! The Langkawi Craft Complex is located at Teluk Yu in Mukim Bohor, Langkawi. It is about 21 kilometres from Kuah town via the Ulu Melaka road. Craft Cultural Complex, Langkawi The craft complex (white building with blue roof) is a one-stop arts and crafts centre. You can find a lot craftwork items -- from forest-based products, fabrics, ceramics to metal artifacts and beautiful art objects representing the various Malaysian ethnic groups. At the demonstration centre, you see demonstration of the intricate techniques of producing local works of art and crafts such as weaving, batik painting and wood carving. Batik Making @Craft Cultural Complex Zaly fell in love with some hand-printed batik clothings. They were lovely and cost a bomb! The owner of the shop said that he designed the batik himself. And, each batik clothing is unique -- only one such design created!
