, it's the sixth month of 2007!

First and foremost, I would like to apologize that I didn't send you this newsletter for a really - really long time.

So many things has happened to me that caused major effects to my life (personal and financially). But, I got a better job at a very good company and coping well with my life now. And, I have a very nice, humble and caring boss.

And, now I'm back to my feet! This time, nothing will hold this newsletter from being delivered to you.

By the way....if you have any ideas on what should I include in future issues of Langkawi Buzz, please let me know ok? And, if you've any interesting story that you experienced during your visit in Langkawi, you can contribute it to our website. An unbiased review on Langkawi hotel would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks!

School holidays has just recently over - 26 May to 10 June 2007. The next school holiday will start from 18th Aug - 25th Aug 2007. So...if you're thinking of coming to Langkawi in middle August 2007, just make sure you place your hotel booking fast.

#1 - Langkawi Declared A World Geopark by UNESCO

Everyone is talking about Langkawi as a Geopark. Everywhere in Langkawi, there are large signboards of Langkawi Geopark. There is even a hotel that quickly changed it's name to Geopark Hotel. So... what is Geopark anyway?

#2 - A New Clean Web site Design

We have changed (again!) Langkawi-Beaches.com look & feel to a more clean and attractive design. This time I adopted the white and light blue theme, and placed two (instead of one) navigation bars.

The result - a more organized website for your eyes.

#3 - Alexa Ranking Update

Langkawi-Beaches.com went live on 26 June 2005, and as at 10 June 2007, it was ranked at 1,019,00 - within the top 5% of all sites on the Web by Alexa.

Our Alexa ranking has been changing a lot (degrading) mostly because I didn't publish a new web page for more than a year! And, traffic has been stagnant (no increase, no decrease).

But, since Jan 2007, I started to commit back by introducing Langkawi Blog. Since then, our Alexa ranking has improved (a lot) and visitors are increasing steadily.

(If you're not familiar with Alexa: it's a widely used tool for checking the popularity of a site, based on traffic. The LOWER our number, the HIGHER is our traffic ranking vs. over 56 million ACTIVE sites on the net, which means the more traffic or visitors we are getting.)
